About

A waiting room with chairs , a counter and a shelf.

Escape Wadsworth

A magnifying glass with a keyhole in the middle of it.

Escape Wadsworth was manifested from some notes on napkins and family conversations about our enthusiasm for escape rooms. Amongst the 3 of us we have conquered more than 50 rooms including ones in Las Vegas, Florida, North Carolina, Kentucky, and of course Ohio. So, our dream of “Let’s build one” has gone from a few notes and discussions to something we truly hope you enjoy!

Rules:

1.     Players should arrive promptly to their reservation. If a group has not arrived by their scheduled reservation time, the clock in their game will begin.

2.     The door is never locked. If you need to leave the room for whatever reason, let the game master know. We are always listening and watching.

3.     No phones! We encourage players to solve puzzles with their team members, not with the internet. There is a bin inside of the room to store phones, but they are not allowed to be used for gameplay.

4.     No standing on anything. Everything in the room is within arm’s reach, there’s no need to stand on furniture or boxes.

5.     You will not need to pull, yank, or do anything with excessive force. Everything that is meant to open will open with ease.

6.     When your group comes to a halt, or needs an extra hint on a puzzle, you have four clues to use within the hour. To ask for a clue, everyone in the group needs to agree on the use of a clue. Then all of you say, “We need a clue!”

Frequently Asked

Questions

  • Are we truly locked in?

Absolutely not! There is no lock on the door, and players are able to enter and exit as they please.

  • How many people can participate?

The minimum amount of players for this game is 2. We encourage 4-6 players per group, but there is no maximum amount of players.

  • How long does it take?

This is up to your group! The standard time to escape is 60 minutes, but it is the goal to escape before then. Can you?

  • What if we need help?

Each room has four clues that can be used throughout the game. We highly encourage groups to use the clues. Some puzzles can be tricky!

  • Can we take pictures?

YES! We encourage groups to take pictures as they enter and exit Escape Wadsworth. We just ask that no pictures of the actual gameplay are taken. Groups also have a photo-op with signs at the end of their game.
